EXTENSIONS, RENOVATIONS, LOFT CONVERSIONS AND GARAGE CONVERSIONS

Discussing requirements with clients and assessing their space to see how it is used; we make suggestions on how to improve functionality and meet needs.

Keeping budget in mind, our trained eye can spot areas for maximising opportunities with the space in hand.

MODERN TIMBER FRAME BUILDINGS

If you’re allowed a favourite, this is ours! Having first worked on a modern timber frame building nearly 20 years ago and having been reunited with this method of building recently, we’re of the opinion that this is the way forward.

Environmentally less footings are required which means savings in landfill and concrete. Built with Fsc accredited timber and natural/recycled insulations they provide passive house standards of insulation and air tightness. With such great levels of insulation, environmentally alternative space heating options offer their truest benefits to our environment and the building owner.

This building, built by us was designed by Charlie Luxton Design.

BARN CONVERSIONS AND TRADITIONAL BUILDINGS

Our experience working with conservation and environmental builders stems back 30 years. Over this time we’ve developed both a deep understanding of older buildings and fantastic contacts with specialists and experts in this field. We’ve built and restored earth walls; straw bale walls; flint walls; wattle and daub panels; earth block walls; lime and clay renders and timber frames.

COMMERCIAL PROPERTIES

We’ve been involved with development of commercial low rise buildings ranging from Doctors surgeries  to hair salons.

Thame Health Centre came to us with a clear brief: They wanted to create four additional practice rooms without adding to the existing footprint; and also modernise the rest of the building in particular the Reception areas  and add  toilets . We worked closely with the Practice Manager to design the alterations and then  went on to  complete  the construction phase. The project was delivered within both tight timescales and budget, with minimal disturbance to the day to day running of the practice. To reduce impact, often major works were carried out over weekends and overnight, returning the space to meet health care requirements before the practice reopened.
